It stands as a contributor in both applied and experimental (laboratory animals) scientific veterinary research. The journal is issued biannually, releasing one volume with two issues per year (June and December). Exp. Appl. Vet. Res. J. accepts submissions of various contributions, including original research articles, review articles, and case reports of veterinary specialties. Being an online open access publication, it pledges to make its research findings immediately, permanently, and freely accessible. It launches the electronic version online. The journal has improved the efficiency of its submission and publication procedures by moving to online management through the Open Journal System (OJS).

Adhering to the policy of language, the journal accepts the submission in English language, along with an Arabic abstract for authors who are native Arabic speakers. All papers are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4) license, which protects the authors' copyright while guaranteeing that the content is freely accessible everywhere.
